Well I'm back. I have been away from the things of the world for a week at girls camp. It was really fun and a very spiritual experience. Our leaders did a good job of providing the YW with some essential tools for success in life and in the Gospel. Our theme was "Boot Camp" which means "Building Our Own Testimonies". The thing that really stood out was a fireside with Chaplain Springer of the 222. He taught the girls that in life the most important thing they could do for themselves was to learn Discipline. He taught them to discipline their thoughts and their actions. It was really good. As is always the case, Marissa rose to the top of the group as a 1st Leiutenent. She was a powerful leader and a good friend to the Unit she was assigned to. Which I might add was not an easy group to lead, but they loved her and she loved them. Maybe she will tell you more.
I couldn't believe we missed all the action here. We saw pictures of the floods and all the people who were helping. We had Gail Smith with us at camp, and her home was one that was flooded. I couldn't believe it, she stayed up with us, and said she would go home when her job at girls camp was finished. Now that is discipline in action!
It's good to be home!
